Unleash Your Speed: The Namibia Double-Down Camp

Are you ready to ride the fastest wind on the planet? We are launching the ultimate speed-seeking adventure across Namibia’s two legendary spots. Whether you’re looking to break your personal best or simply witness history in the making, this 2-week journey is built for velocity.

Week 1: Walvis Bay – The Natural Speed Strip

Kick off your journey at the world-famous Walvis Bay Lagoon. Known for its butter-flat water and consistent thermal winds, the "Speed Strip" here is a 2.5km stretch of pure natural perfection.

  • The Vibe: Open, natural, and free of use.
  • The Highlight: This year, we share the water with the SP80 team. Watch as this revolutionary kite-powered sailboat attempts to shatter the world record by hitting 80 knots. You’ll be riding the same lines as the future of sailing speed.

Week 2: Lüderitz – The World Record Canal

Next, we head south to the birthplace of speed records. Lüderitz is where the desert "nukes" with 40–50 knots of wind, creating an adrenaline rush like nowhere else.

  • The Man-Made Legend: Challenge yourself on the world’s fastest artificial speed channel, engineered at the perfect angle to the wind for maximum acceleration.
  • The Setup: If you want to push into the elite bracket, the man-made channel is available for a fee. For those who want the speed without the official run, the Speed Bay sits just in front of it—offering high-octane conditions for everyone and is free of charge.

Choose Your Challenge

  • 1-Week Camp: Join us in either Walvis Bay or Lüderitz.
  • 2-Week Full Experience: The ultimate transition from natural flat-water speed to the mechanical precision of the Lüderitz canal.

Are you fast enough?

Space is limited for both camps to ensure everyone gets the best window on the water.
